Kolber is a native of Pennsylvania with a master's degree from University of Miami. Her career in the field began when she was an Assistant Video Coordinator for CBS Sports, New York City. The award was a Sports Emmy for her work for WTVJ-TV Miami. In addition, she was a reporter for WPLG-TV Miami and WPEC-TV West Palm Beach.
